15 November 2011 Journal Page

All set and ready for my class at Stampin from the Heart tomorrow. It's my last weekend L.A. class in 2011. I don't have any weekend dates booked for SO CA now until late January.

I am super excited to share new ideas with my students. The Sanctuary Journal was one of my favorites to work in. I'll also have some special raffles and giveaways all throughout the class. Looking forward to it!

I hope that your weekend is going well. I'm happily chugging away with my latest online class, Revel in the Moment. My goal is to have it ready before the 22nd. I hope that you enjoy the class as much as I am lovin' working on it!!

Your Sanctuary Journal is much lighter and simpler in colour and tone, more white and blue. I really love it.Especially the poem about being 16, 26 and 36. Karen xx

Thanks, Karen. I strive to make each journal different. I use color to reflect my emotions.

I just wanted to add that I always strive to make each journal different. I love each journal that I've made for different reasons. The one that I've been working on (this is the last page in it), I have pushed myself even farther than before. I don't ever feel that one journal is "better" than another. I do my best to push myself with each journal to go in a different direction and to approach the pages in new ways. Some pages are dark. Some pages are light. That's what a journal is. It's a reflection of my mood and feeling for the day. I use color to show my feelings and mood. There are colors that I use a lot of and colors that I don't use as much. It just depends on how I feel and what I want to do on those pages.

Dear Kelly
I understand when you say that you use colours to express your mood and feelings for each day. My favourite colours are blues and greens but I am often drawn to pinks and reds such as in your journals. Perhaps I lack those colours in my everyday life. Love Karen xx

Hi Karen,

:) I'm drawn to pinks, oranges and yellows. LOL I guess the good thing is that we know what we like, eh?

I do try to push myself to use colors that I don't normally gravitate towards: blues, purples, etc... It is quite good to work outside of our comfort zones! However, I know that pink tends to creep up on my pages as I love it and it has a special meaning to me!

Thanks for commenting!
Hugs,
Kelly
