Work in Progress

One of my favorite things to do with my focal images is to color them in with either Sakura Glaze or Souffle pens or Pilot's Latte or Sweets pens.

I don't rub them in while their wet (I know some folks who do).

I color in section by section. Make sure that you don't schmear the ink as you work as it does take a few minutes to dry.

You can also layer colors (once the previous color has dried).

Coloring in is a nice way to alter an image and make it work with whatever else is on the page.

Remember that the Sakura Glazes are a gloss finish. They also can be lighter in color depending upon what your original base color is on the page.

Sakura Souffle, Pilot Latte and Sweets are all a matte finish so they will show up on anything including dark colors.

My analogy is if you want to use a red pen on a pink page and be able to see it, use the souffle, latte or sweets. If you want it more subdued, use a Glaze pen.

I'll show you the finished page soon!

Don't forget I have two new classes this weekend (Zinnia in South Pasadena and Simi Valley) as well as Frenzy Stamper in Scottsdale, AZ coming up next weekend. I hope to see YOU there!
