May Day!

Happy May Day, everyone!

Above is the cover and spine for the new book that I've been working in. I will start to show you the inside pages tomorrow. I used two different papers for the front covers (the front is at the top, the back is the last picture).

Ooh a new month a new book, very nice !
That stitching on the spine looks interesting, haven't seen a binding using it before.

I LOVE that binding! I hope that eventually, you will teach this one. *hint, hint* *rwg* I put together a cool lunchbox to contain my journal binding supplies. Borders has decorated lunchboxes with matching pencil cases and wrapping paper. So I put all of my needles in the pencil case, which fits neatly in the lunchbox, and covered a pen and little notebook with the wrapping paper! I don't even have to take the pencil case out to get to my needles. I love it.
Did you ever get May baskets? My grandmother used to give them to me and my sister. May Day is also very important to the pagan and Goddess-worshipping religions. Also called Beltane, it's the celebration of Spring and fertility of the land. It is celebrated by dancing around the Maypole and leaving May baskets on doorknobs.
