9 March 2010 journal page

Having a quiet weekend (well, if I ignore the chainsaw out back...) at home.

I spent several hours yesterday cleaning my cupboard, the little pantry and a metal cart in the kitchen. The cupboard and metal cart held my paints. The pantry was full of stuff that I had been shoving in there the last year or so. Let's just say, now the pantry door is closed. The metal cart is empty. The cupboard has paints in it, but I can see everything and I know where it all is. I donated about a dozen bags of art supplies to the skid row journaling project. The only bad part? Now I have to clean my kitchen floor :P (living in L.A., we tend to get a lot of dust and dirt in this apartment). The good thing? I'll have a clean kitchen and a happy heart knowing that my supplies went to a good home!

I'm hoping to take a walk over to Melrose with my camera today and to get some journaling in at some point.

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend!

I love how this spread looks, great had image too.

I know the feeling of having things clean and organized. I need to do that soon, very soon. And what a great thing for you to do by donating the extra supplies to such a worthy cause. I hope they use them and start journaling. Maybe it will help. I'm a firm believer that journaling is not only fun but can be a healing process for some.

I hope you have a fun day today.

Could you send me some of your cleaning energy? I could use it. LOL!
That's a good feeling to get the pantry cleaned up.

Well I cleaned up a little bit too (as you can tell from the bags I dropped off)
Now all I have left is 2 boxes of images to go through *sighs*
