November 9 journal page

Dad's last treatment of interferon is scheduled for today. He's only had it for a month. I just hope he'll be okay. It's confusing and frustrating (for me at least) as to how this one drug given for a month is supposed to do the job. Fingers crossed. Thanks for all of the good thoughts and prayers and for those of you that wrote in and asked how Dad was doing-thank you. It means a lot.

I so feel your pain Kelly. My father was diagnosed with terminal cancer on October 12th. Not only am I terrified of this horrible disease, but I am not yet ready to lose my father. I will add your father to my prayers.

That's great that he'll be done with treatment! Hopefully, he feels good. I remember writing a research paper on Intereron back in the 80"s (cause I'm THAT old!). It targets the diseased cells and tends to leave the healthy intact. The thought is that it stresses the body's systems less. I hope he continues to do well! (I know, probably TMI!)
