November 12 journal page

You know you're at the used bookstore a lot when the guys at the register comment that you're "finally leaving" and "Why so soon?" telling you that they just bought over 500 books that you need to check out. One quips, "Don't worry, they'll be back tomorrow."

If you're in L.A., you need to go to my favorite used bookstore- The Iliad. It's a rare occasion that I leave without buying anything. That store is dangerous! Dangerous, I tell you! We've been going there for several years now. We followed them from their old location to their ever expanding and delicious new location. Be prepared to spend some time and a couple of bucks browsing their shelves. Did I mention that they have couches, too? Sit and peruse your selections before buying. Try to get out without spending at least an hour and a couple of bucks. They're open late too, which is a big plus!

Who out there has a Polaroid Pogo? What do you think? Is there anything else (hand held, small, portable) on the market like it? Would you recommend it? Thanks!

That looks like a fun camera... here are a couple of links to two other brands offering these.

I have a Pogo. It was an impulse buy, and I definitely like the idea of using it for my journal. There has been a problem with the photo papers having an expiration date (and being a little expensive) although the last time I checked the price (on Amazon) it had come down. It is small compact and easy to use. For me, its not a must have, but nice to have.

I love my Pogo! I had wanted one since I saw it in action in January and bought one about a month ago since the prices have come down. It's so easy to add pictures to my journals now because a) it's easy to print and b) the paper has an adhesive back. Two weeks ago I got flowers from a friend, and I took close-up pictures of the flowers, printed them with Pogo and then made an accordian fold thank you card with the prints. The friend was impressed. I'm hoping for more flowers! :)

I've only heard good things about the POGO. Catherine Witherell loves hers. I have asked for one for Christmas. We'll see if anyone spoils me :) (just the printer -- I love my camperas too much to give them up)
