Looking for new teaching venues...

Hi! I thought I'd throw this out to Blogland and see what happens...I'm actively looking for NEW places to teach at. Local places in So CA that I don't know about, places far away outside of So CA and beyond. If you have a local collage, rubber stamp, scrapbook, art store or any place near you that hosts workshops and you have an interest in my classes, please drop me an email Egorey99 (at) sbcglobal (dot) net or leave a comment. For workshops outside of So CA, I'm especially interested in teaching a weekend's of classes (either Fri-Sun or Sat & Sun). I love to travel-pack up the car and just GO. Those of you who know me, know I don't travel light for workshops!!!

The Big Box stores (The "M" store and others like that) don't work for me. I'm looking for Mom and Pop shops, small, intimate places owned by locals. I'm looking for private studios. I've got my eyes open and am looking for new ideas! I've been teaching for 10 years and have taught at several of the major conventions, shops all over the U.S. and beyond and even in people's living rooms and private studios!

I am looking into online classes, but nothing NOTHING beats a hands on, get messy with it class!

Thanks for your help!!!

Have you ever been to Stamp Your Heart Out in Claremont, CA? Nice store, I am not anyway connected to the store so I don't know what their policy on classes is. But I live in Claremont and I would love to take a class of yours!

Kelly,

I'd love to do some classes on Sundays @ Viva Gallery in Sherman Oaks. I'm arranging a class with Robin Howes, soldered jewelry. If you are interested on Sundays, let me know.

It'd be cool if it was somewhere in the NW... seattle-ish.. Some stores I can think of that are just outside Seattle are:

Make An Impression: http://www.makeanimpression.net/

Impress Rubber Stamps:
http://impressrubberstamps.com

Paper Zone:
http://paperzone.com
(not so Mom and Pop but small chain)

There are a few in Seattle but I'd rather not go into Seattle to do so. :)

Hey Kelly - How about Coupeville Arts Center or the LaConner Art Workshops? Both are in lovely Washington. Coupeville is on Whidbey Island in Puget Sound. The LaConner Art Workshops are now headquartered in Mt. Vernon, Washington (about 75 minutes north of Seattle). I know the LCAW hasn't done anything with visual journaling and doesn't have a whole lot on collage, although there are a few classes from time to time. Just a thought. . .
