I saw this house on a ghost tv show. It look wicked and amazing. Thirty dollars does seem pretty high. I wonder how much they show you.

I went..in the 80's...I was on a tour with a bunch of kids. I remember a lot of things about the tour...and that I loved the house and have wanted to go back ever since. It is really cool!
TAPS (Sci Fi's "Ghost Hunters) went there on investigation - and it looked really, really cool! I think it would be worth the price - if cameras are allowed!
By the way: I am way behind on your blog 'cos of a Blond Malfunction. I added the wrong blog to my reader - and thought you had cut WAY back on your posts. Duh.

No, I don't think so unless they are doing something different than they did in the late 90's for a tour. It was to high priced then also. They have to pay for the rent in that area, that is why the price is so high my guess is. I was brought up in Sunnyvale just one city away from San Jose. You might as well go to Santa Cruz beach, about 45 mins from there.
well, the tour is annoying. lots of standing around and waiting. i'd much rather do a self-guided tour, if available. the detail in the house is incredible. the lady was nuts. it is kinda creepy, even in the day. on halloween and friday the 13th there are night flashlight tours. eek!

I would for sure pay the prices they're asking. It sounds too cool to pass up!
Kelly ...wow that price is high, but let me tell you, i saw it as a child in the 60's and I am STILL haunted by it......It is absolutely worth the price of admission!!!!!
It is pricy - but very cool if you are into old houses! I live very close, and got to go for free in the 80s and just went again a couple years ago because my 12 year old niece had been wanting to go - she enjoyed it too.
It's a block from the hip new shopping area Santana Row (there's a Paper Source there) and Valley Fair so yes it's in a high priced area LOL
