Here are the pictures from Hammond Castle that I promised. We didn't make it inside (five people quickly adds up and we were on a limited time schedule), but the grounds outside are gorgeous. There is some kind of construction going on right to the left of the stairs (where you will see Tristan standing below with the ocean in the background) which makes for a loud and weird experience...I fell in love with the gargoyles.

My sister took lots of other pictures so I hope to upload them here as soon as I receive her pictures!

Next stop: The Paper House.

I *heart* these pictures of the bell! Until I scrolled down, I could not figure out what object it is when I first saw it. Very cool photo, indeed! Even though I have seen the inside of the castle back in early 1970s, I did not get a chance to walk down the exterior stairs in the back of the castle. I will have to go there some day. Thanks for showing the photos.

LOVE the pix! It's amazing that I have lived my whole life in Mass. but never been to some of these incredible places. I went to the Hammond Castle AGES ago but I've never even heard of the Paper House. Can you say ROAD TRIP!?!
