Being back East means I can sort through family photos like these. I love using personal photos in artwork.

Finally, this has got to be *the cutest* skirt *ever*. I would learn how to sew just to make something cool like this but sewing machines scare me. I can sew and bind books til pigs fly (and y'all know how many thousands of books I've made) but sewing machines scare me...and when I sew buttons and stuff like that, it looks like the work was done by a 3 year old not 33 year old. *sigh* I LOVE this skirt!!!!

Off to bed-gonna snuggle up with my Lynda Barry book and get some much needed rest before my classes this weekend!! :)

What fun family photos. I'm my family's genealogist, so I have tons of really old ones, but it's the 1970's photos of me and my brother that always get me--the messed up hair, the wild animation caught in the act, the funky orange color of so many of them! What was up with the processing of those old 126mm cameras? My mom had an old Polaroid, too, that she used occasionally. She would take the photo and then have to use some sort of stick--like a glue stick or something--to rub over the Polaroid photo. Not sure why--a fixer of some sort, I guess, but I can still smell it and feel the excitement of watching her wave the photo back and forth in the air until we appeared.

You're scared by the sewing machine??? Oh come on, it took me a while to know how to use by myself, and after multiple failed attempts, I managed to use it right. It is not that hard, really, but just make sure you keep your hands out of the way or they will get sewn....:-)

I love the hair photos! Old family shots are great! I have the Pogo and am loving it. The size is just right for journaling. I can see using the pics in a travel journal. I keep the Pogo in my purse. We went to an outdoor lawn party and took crazy photos on our cell phones and everybody put their photo on some pre-made cards I had brought with us. It was a hit and everyone took home a souvenir. The pictures run about 40 cents each. The quality of the print depends on the quality of the camera, especially different cell phones. Go on the website to see which phones are supported. Basically, blue-tooth enabled phones. Outdoor pictures have been better than indoor pictures so far. I haven't printed too many indoor pictures. I also have not printed a picture that was connected to the camera. I think that would be a better print. I have only had it about a month and the pictures are still vibrant.

Cracks me up all the redhair! I am also a redhead from a large batch of cloning redheads in my family. I hated the attention it brought. Wish I could go back a few years nowdays,lol. Yes I did the afro also.
