What I've been reading the last few days, in bits and pieces before I go to sleep at night:
Frida by Frida-a collection of her letters
Definitely one of the most insightful books into Frida's life and work. My favorite quote so far is a toss up between how she refers to Diego ("the pot bellied genius") and how she refers to the surrealists ("parasites of the bunch of rich bitches who admire their "genius" of "artists". Shit and only shit is what they are...") except for Marcel Duchamp whom she praised as having "his feet on the earth...". I am about 100 pages from the end of this book...and hungry for every page as I turn it. $25 well spent.

I have been waiting to hear someone else say this for a long time. Of course it was Mumia, one of the few who has the balls to stand up and speak out loudly.
