Journal pages from last night:
Goodies that came in the mail yesterday: My Papier Valise order (thanks to Ali Edwards for pointing out the round stickers on her blog). Of course I had to get the Boston tickets, too! :)
Did you hear me squealing yesterday?!! It's because my Jet Pens order came: NEW PENS!! They're called SWEETS. They're the popular LATTE Pens but in NEW colors: SWEETS. And, YES, there is a difference in the colors. I did a little sample sheet but it's hard to photograph:

On Friday, June 6th, UTLA, parents and students are participating in what UTLA is calling "One Hour’s Pay for the Kids of L.A.". Teachers will be rallying for one hour (at the start of the school day) to protest the Governor's Budget Cuts. (They are also forfeiting pay for that hour). THIS IS NOT A WALK OUT. Parents are encouraged to walk with their children for the first hour of school. Parents that can not attend, children will go into school and be fully supervised as usual. The schools are preparing for this by sending out letters and information. Tristan and I will be walking with the teachers on Friday from 7:50 to 8:50 a.m. Stand up. Speak up.

Those of you in CA know that today is Election Day! Remember to get out and VOTE. NO on 98.
