My tape order from Shop Kawaii arrived! Yay!!! In addition to the Mind Wave "Empty Town" tape ((#90807), and the Strawberry shortcake tape (Mind wave Inc #90810), I also ordered two of their correction tapes (Update: Note the correction tape IS correction tape! NOT decorative tape. I was rather pissed about that!!) . I LOVE their stickers, too. I wanted more then what I ordered but I stuck with the deer and the cat stickers for now. I swear I'm regressing or something, but it's so much fun!
I also had some time (before Tristan's "supposedly" last dentist visit for awhile, but it turns out they were wrong and he has to go back only one more time for now...yup, I'll believe that when I don't have them hand me a card to "go make an appointment". This isn't even the ortho stuff!!!) before hitting the dentist, so Tristan and I went to Kino-Buy-It-All, I mean Kinokuniya in Little Tokyo. I couldn't find the book I was looking for, but holy crap, I found a lot of other stuff. NOT at Kinokuniya but at a little store we go to, I found lots of these stickers. I had already bought the little ones a long time ago (yes, I did get more as they were cheaper here then where I originally found them) but I LOVE the bigger ones (stocked up on those):
Now, for the pens. I *thought* I had all of the pens in the universe that I "needed". Alas, I was proven wrong. Here's a list of the pens I bought and my little two cents on them:

These are the pens that I liked that wrote on acrylic paint. Some do take a wee bit of time to dry and not all are waterproof! My favorite was the "eye" pen. That's the only thing in English I can read on the package. I like the brush tip of it. Another fun one (kinda smelly though) was Zebra (I bought black and purple. The color pens do not show up on acrylic, fyi! I am always disappointed when the pens' colors don't pop off the page but the black is lovely!). The next one I liked was the Pilot V, another good brush pen. Y'all know how much I heart the Uniball Signo UM-153. I've been using the white pen for AGES (that was the first white I used-years before they developed the Sakura glaze and souffle AND the sharpie poster paint waterbased white pen). I love how the ink just flows. The bad thing is, you paint over it and it's gone (it's not waterproof). Another fun pen was the Pilot Super with a big bullet tip. I am always looking for black pens that write on acrylic.
The other pens I got which were all a disappointment for writing on acrylic (but I had pretty much known that about the fountain pen) were: Preppy 03, and 3 different nib "Pilot B" pens. The Preppy one would write on acrylic but it was very, very faint and in order for you to "See" it I had to write on top of my writing a couple of times. The other pens, the Pilot B-none of these would write on acrylic. They skipped horribly-worse then any other gel pen I have ever seen. I just could not get these puppies to work. Sucks 'cause I bought 2 of each!

Hi Dawn,

I walked all over little Tokyo. It's a tiny store on a side street. I've been there 3 or 4x and this is the first time they ever had anything that I wanted to buy!!
Little Tokyo is fun to walk around in-lots of little stores. I usually don't spend much-I mostly like to look. Kinokuniya is well worth the trip for me!
If you are in the area, shoot on over to So Pasadena and go to Zinnia!! Also in So Pas: Dick Blick, Mimio's, Paper Source, Shizen, and FOLK TREE!
