Does anyone else have a hard time cutting up their old Somersets and Cloth Paper Scissors? I have every issue of both...the problem is, I don't go back to them enough to justify keeping the whole magazine. They take up several rows of shelf space, too! But *eeps* cut them up? Would you? Do you? I can do it with any magazine but those two!!!

I tore out the articles and picture ideas I wanted and chucked 'em in the recycle bin.
I do it to my food magazines.. why not my art magazines?

I just purged a bunch of paperback books to make room for my art/craft books and magazines. One must have ones priorities. lol I also have every issue of CPS. I can't bear to cut up any of the high-quality magazines and all of their take-offs.
I had to buy 4 more bookcases a couple of weeks ago and there is precious little room on them already.
And with somerset and cps, there is plenty of advertising that you don't need, so just keep your favorites and toss the rest....you might feel like a weight has been lifted off your shoulders !
Your bookcase looks like so much fun, Kelly - I want to spend a week or two in a comfy chair right beside it drooling my way through lots of those books.
i too have an enormous problem with shelf space--
i have begun to scrutinize my magazines-- when i come across a particularly interesting/inspirational article, i will copy it in slip it into a page protector and put it into a binder-- you have to be firm and only do this to articles you can't live without-- i haven't decided what to do with the magazines themselves, but wether i sell them or give them away, giving them a second life with someone else is preferable to trashing them--
let us know what you decide--
A. hold onto them.
B. sell them.
C. Cut them up and put the pieces I don't want in my "class" bin for people to take as they'd like.
