I. Love. These. Beastlies!

I saw these a couple of weeks ago at Meltdown in L.A. and instantly fell in love with these little clay creations. It turns out that they are made by one of Meltdown's employees, Leslie Levings.

I told you I shouldn't be allowed out of the house. Last night, I returned the Street World book as it just ended up to be too much like the other Graff books I have, yet not as good..So, I trekked on over to Skylight Books in Los Feliz with family in tow and bought Princess Alyss of Wonderland (illustrated by none other then Catia Chien-of Flight Fame. I LOVE her work and she's one of the reasons why I bought Flight.)

Um, I also couldn't leave without a copy of Play Pen: New Children's Book Illustration. Mary, Mother of God, and people wonder why I'm broke. LOL. I'm cut off! No more books! ;) (evil grin) Who wants to pay bills when you can buy books instead and they make you happy? Ok, back to the book-not only does the book have many of my absolute most favorite Children's book Illustrators, but it also introduced me to several artists I had yet to discover.

I love Skylight Books. Look! They even have a blog now.

Teaching at The Art Bar tomorrow (class is 10 to 3-ignore the time on the blog). After all, I need to make the money to pay for all of these books, right?
