Two posts in one day!??! I live with crazy people.

(Simon in the Land of Chalk Drawings-I used to love this cartoon. Tristan asked me if the drawings were supposed to be the crazy people we live with.)

Tristan actually was yelled at by one of the neighbors today for drawing on the sidewalk with chalk.

Yup. I live with totally stupid people. I had to explain to the woman that since it's chalk it washes off-what a miracle.

Tristan was drawing on the sidewalk while David and I were finishing up cleaning out our '92 Toyota Tercel. YAY! Tomorrow it will go to the shop so that it will (hopefully) be driveable so we can get it where it needs to go.

Tristan is standing over my shoulder telling me that I should inform everyone that tomorrow will be my 600th post. Should I have a contest? Hmmm...OK.

Leave a comment under this post and we'll draw one winner for a surprise!!

Oh, my, that lady needs to be throttled! Maybe she needs her own box of chalk! I'm loving the journal and the collage techniques we learned at Rubber Chicken!

Holy Crow, 600! I am so slow at blogging it would take me 10 years to pull that off. I am luckier with neighbors though. I got a bunch of strangers to hang their wishes in a tree and no body yelled at me yet.

When can we see you in New York again?

I love your blog! I read it every day. Every day that you add to it, that is! I especially appreciate the gorgeous art you share with us and also the sharp sticks you poke at us to sit up and pay attention to what is going on around us.
Kudos on a great blog, Kelly!

I'm laughing my A-- off still after reading about your blue adventure. Sure wish someone had taken a photo.

Wasn't there a song "Blue I'm Blue........"

Hey, I have an idea! Why don't you have the number "600th" drawn on a sidewalk by Tristan, take a photo, and then post it in your blog!

Count me in! I would love a surprise from you!
Eff those people who would begrudge a child his time with chalk and the sidewalk. It's a ritual that all children must partake in!!

OMG! The blue paint ... totally something that would happen to me. I feel for ya! As for the neighbor, somebody probably broke all her chalks when she was a kid ... poor dear. She needs a fresh set, I think ....

I think you and David and Tristan should ALL draw with chalk on the sidewalk ...and when the neighbor approaches you...hand her a piece of pink chalk and give her a hug :)

Happy 600! That's quite a milestone.

I totally think you should invite that lady to come play with you and Tristan, she needs to learn to lighten up!
