I *heart* my local used bookstores:

I snagged 2 out of the 3 above from the amazing Gene de Chene bookstore in West Los Angeles (on Santa Monica Blvd). I have been looking for the Carolyn Quartermaine book for FOREVER and at $10 it jumped into my hands off of the shelf. The Colorful World book was recommended to me by &rew (thank you!!).

I was going nuts looking for Aline Kominsky Crumb's book. YES, she is THAT Crumb (Robert's wife but an amazing artist in her own write (pun intended)). It's definetly not for everyone but I snagged the last copy Meltdown on Sunset had and I am a very happy goober indeed!

Yes, Annette, I will be posting a list of my favorite book treasures soon :) I just have to sit and think about it!

No more spending money the rest of the week (though the Quartermaine book was $10, the Colorful World book was $13 and the A.K. Crumb was cover price)-until I get that darn issue of Cloth Paper Scissors (ha ha ha!! It really is one of my most favorite magazines though I am very impatient that none of the local newsstands have it yet!!!! Torture!!)

****Great music video by the Presets called The Girl and The Sea on Youtube. An homage to Yuri Norstein's Tale of Tales?

You haven't seen your OWN article in Cloth, Paper, Scissors yet? It was great fun to see you splashed all over those shiny pages. Nice going.
