Sitting here listening to the Axis of Justice in KPFK in L.A.
One of the most underrated rap bands, The Coup, were in a bus accident back in November. They lost everything (ALL of their instruments, clothes, etc...). You can read more about it and see how you can help here.
I first heard the Coup on Jerry Quickley's Beneath The Surface show and on Axis of Justice on KPFK. I remember hearing Boots talking about the song he wrote for his daughter-Wear Clean Draws...it's still one of my faves. Also love "We Are The Ones" and "5 Million Ways..."
