What You'll Find Here

I post daily (photos of my journal pages, things that inspire me and personal bits and pieces) to inspire and encourage others. I have always believed that if I can do it, so can you.

You'll find resources (my favorite supplies, books, slideshows of my art journal pages, favorite bloggers, etc...) listed along the right hand side of my blog.

I've been teaching both in person and online workshops for almost twenty years now. You can find out more about my classes by scrolling down along the right hand side of my blog. I strive to make classes accessible to everyone (both beginner to advanced).

I love teaching and truly believe that deep down inside everyone is an artist, capable of creating something. There is power and knowledge in the act of creating something with your own hands, made from your own heart and head.

Creative Fire

Saying a very big thanks tonight to the people who make the art supplies that make me so happy and are keeping me sane.

Thank you to the people that:

Make the paper that I use.
Create the thread that holds it all together.
Take the photos of the images that I reappropriate.
Mix, blend and name the colors of acrylic paints and mediums that I love so much.
Sharpen and assemble my scissors.
Create my metal rulers, bone folders and needles that rip, fold and sew my pages into something new.
Mix up batches of my favorite adhesive (Coccoina, I'm talking to you.)
Create and design perfect rolls of washi tape that layer and stick so well.
Name, pour and package my paint markers.
Design and carefully cut our stencils.
Draw, etch and heat our rubber stamps.
Design our ink pads.
Sharpen our colored pencils and crayons.

To those that labor to bring all of these tools and toys to us-

You are the magic makers. Thank you for your hard work creating the tools that we love so much. You put the spark in our creative fire.

Such a lovely post. I love it.
I've been looking for Coccoina products. Do you know where they're available? I'm looking just for me not for my groups and I only see them for sale online in large quantities.
Thanks, as always,

I love how detailed you are with your gratitude for these magic makers - our magic wands. It caused me to hold that same gratitude.

Journaler, thanks for stopping by. I buy Coccoina through Green Apple in CO. On the right side of my blog, I have a list of my favorite supplies:
