Serenity Bundles Fremont, CA Workshop Saturday April 23, 2016

 

I am very happy to announce that I will be teaching one very special all day workshop at Maria's studio in Fremont, CA on Saturday, April 23rd (classes are open to the public.)  

This fresh, new workshop teaches a variety of NEW ideas involving collage, creative processing, self expression, composition, design, layering, painting and much, much more.

My workshops are always process-based learning while creating a unique product. I am well known for not traveling light and bring a large variety of supplies including (but not limited to) collage material, rubber stamps, stencils, pens, markers, tape and more.
Please note there is a small supply list.

Beginners to advanced are welcome in ALL of the classes.

Payments for the Fremont, CA workshop must be made in advance. Due to the fact that the teacher is traveling from Los Angeles and must prep for the workshops in advance, there are no cancellations allowed. No refunds.

You may send someone else in your place if you are unable to attend the workshop, or you will receive a kit for the class. You can either pay via paypal (see button below) or send a check or money order. Once you've signed up for the workshop, you will be sent the address and directions to the workshop location. If you have ANY questions you can email me. I will also give you my cell phone number so you contact me.

The class fee inlcudes a vast array of mediums and materials to complete the necessary project. It is well known that I do not travel light to any of my classes. I will be bringing such things are:

• all materials necessary to complete the project (handmade paper, decorative paper, board, glue, etc...)
• bookbinding supplies (thread, awl, needles)
• rubber stamps 
• ink pads 
• decorative tape
• stencils
• pens and markers
• gel medium
• collage ephemera and much, much more.

I do not travel light to my classes at all!

Serenity Bundles

Saturday, April 23rd 

10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with Studio Time included after class (Dinner is on you but you are welcome to stay and play!)

In this extensive, (paint covered) hands-on workshop, you will create luscious, rich, and colorful painted pages. You will learn how to layer, scrub, and create soulful and unique to you pages that can be used for a variety of art projects. You will learn color, design, composition, collage and much, much more in this class. You will transform your painted papers into expressive, hand bound books. 

Be prepared to get messy so bring your apron, a desire to learn and explore and your sense of humor. I guarantee that a good time will be had by all as we explore paint and paper!

This class is actually MULTIPLE classes in one! You will be learning techniques that apply to a variety of art forms (think art journaling, collage, etc...) as you create layered, unique pages. You will also be creating at least two different books:

  

Supply list: a full pack of regular BABY WIPES, a journal (I will have paper for you and we will be making a journal but sometimes it is fun to work back and forth between projects), an apron, scissors, a selection of favorite collage ephemera (think about reading this when choosing your images), bone folder, cork back metal ruler, a full roll of paper towels OR an old rag, permanent black ink pad (if you have one),  1" brush to glue and paint (I like chip or bristle brushes), a few of your favorite glue sticks (large glue sticks will last you longer), roll of waxed paper OR an old catalog or magazine to glue on (if you don't want to use all of your waxed paper for this.)
