What You'll Find Here

I post daily (photos of my journal pages, things that inspire me and personal bits and pieces) to inspire and encourage others. I have always believed that if I can do it, so can you.

You'll find resources (my favorite supplies, books, slideshows of my art journal pages, favorite bloggers, etc...) listed along the right hand side of my blog.

I've been teaching both in person and online workshops for almost twenty years now. You can find out more about my classes by scrolling down along the right hand side of my blog. I strive to make classes accessible to everyone (both beginner to advanced).

I love teaching and truly believe that deep down inside everyone is an artist, capable of creating something. There is power and knowledge in the act of creating something with your own hands, made from your own heart and head.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at EGorey99@sbcglobal.net

Thanks for stopping by!

Seeking Peace

Seeking peace on so many levels. I find it in my husband's arms, in my son's smile, on the pages of my journal. Sometimes it's not enough and I want and need more. This is one of those times.
Sending peace and strength to all those who need it right now.

Beautiful, Kelly.

Focus on every good thing that comes your way from a cup of tea to a perfect collage scrap. Mindfulness will help.

I am not very good at showing anxiety the door. Often I make it worse.

Peace be with you.

Thanks so much for the love, Kelly. Sending lots of gentle peace and prayers back at ya...and beautiful art making days and lovely music and gorgeous weather - I've been melting here in Los Angeles this past week...but hey, I can and do take my art journal to the mall or Barnes & Nobles or the library which have amaaaaazing AC. :). I always think of you and your travel journaling kit when I art journal out of the house (as much as possible). You're an inspiration and I hope to take your next class at Banana Rose in September.

Take Care,

Shanta
