What You'll Find Here

I post daily (photos of my journal pages, things that inspire me and personal bits and pieces) to inspire and encourage others. I have always believed that if I can do it, so can you.

You'll find resources (my favorite supplies, books, slideshows of my art journal pages, favorite bloggers, etc...) listed along the right hand side of my blog.

I've been teaching both in person and online workshops for over seventeen years now. You can find out more about my classes by scrolling down along the right hand side of my blog. I strive to make classes accessible to everyone (both beginner to advanced).

I love teaching and truly believe that deep down inside everyone is an artist, capable of creating something. There is power and knowledge in the act of creating something with your own hands, made from your own heart and head.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at EGorey99@sbcglobal.net

Thanks for stopping by!

5 October 2012 Journal Page

This is one of my favorite pages. It's so simple and yet it says a lot for me. My favorite pages are always the ones that feel right to me, they say (both in words and pictures) everything that I need them to say at the moment.

I had a good time teaching this weekend at Stampin From the Heart. It's one of my most favorite places to teach. I have made some very good friends there. I hope that they know how much they mean to me and how very much I appreciate having them in my life.

My last local class of 2012 is this Saturday at Banana Rose in Westlake Village. I'll be teaching my popular "Lettering a la Kelly Style". It's not a calligraphy class but a class that focuses on collage combined with pen work, mixed media and more. It's really a fun class that gets you thinking outside of your box.

I'll be traveling and teaching at Ink About It in Westford, MA the last weekend of December. I'm REALLY looking forward to it. I'll be teaching four NEW classes. The samples are in the store as well as online here. I hope to see YOU there! These are my only East Coast classes for awhile so catch them while you can!

I'm hoping to have a BIG announcement this week. I've been working very hard on it and I'm super excited to share it with you soon!

In the meantime, how about some Blog Love:

Susannah Conway is Unraveling the Year Ahead-I LOVE when she does this. This is a MUST read.

Alisa Golden and Where Do You Get Your Ideas?

Miriam Katin's Studio

Allison Kreft is working with Webster's Pages now!
