What You'll Find Here

I post daily (photos of my journal pages, things that inspire me and personal bits and pieces) to inspire and encourage others. I have always believed that if I can do it, so can you.

You'll find resources (my favorite supplies, books, slideshows of my art journal pages, favorite bloggers, etc...) listed along the right hand side of my blog.

I've been teaching both in person and online workshops for almost twenty years now. You can find out more about my classes by scrolling down along the right hand side of my blog. I strive to make classes accessible to everyone (both beginner to advanced).

I love teaching and truly believe that deep down inside everyone is an artist, capable of creating something. There is power and knowledge in the act of creating something with your own hands, made from your own heart and head.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at EGorey99@sbcglobal.net

Thanks for stopping by!

April 7, 2009 journal page

journal pages from the other night...
Flower sculpture outside of Vroman's bookstore in Pasadena-
Tristan at the Lego store the other night for the free make and take of a Lego Bunny-
We got out of the house yesterday for a wee bit. Wednesday is Comic Book Day here so we hit Meltdown and Golden Apple comics.

We then trekked off to Zinnia in South Pasadena. Zinnia is one of my most favorite favorite stores. They are always jam packed with goodies. The shop had tons of fun new stuff in stock. It's always FUN to go there and they greet you like you are family. Michael DeMeng is coming there the last weekend in May. Check it out!

We also stopped by Cliff's books, Vroman's, Barnes and Noble and Paper Source all in Old Town Pasadena. Paper Source had a bunch of paper on sale for 50% off. I asked them if they planned on shrinking their paper selection like Beverly Hills did and they said they had no idea what why the paper was on sale. Hopefully it is just an abundance of paper to make room for -new paper! That's what I'm hoping for. ;)

Last stop was Buster's in So Pasadena to buy milkshakes. Then home to make supper and journal!

I wonder if paper is on sale at the Berkeley store, too! Oh, wait, I have enough paper. Or...do I?

I love that page! And I love the flower sculpture. How cool. Sounds like you all had a great day. I wish we had a Lego store near us, the closest one is in Orlando, FL. It's quite a drive....
