What You'll Find Here

I post daily (photos of my journal pages, things that inspire me and personal bits and pieces) to inspire and encourage others. I have always believed that if I can do it, so can you.

You'll find resources (my favorite supplies, books, slideshows of my art journal pages, favorite bloggers, etc...) listed along the right hand side of my blog.

I've been teaching both in person and online workshops for more than twenty years. You can find out more about my classes by scrolling down along the right hand side of my blog. I strive to make classes accessible to everyone (both beginner to advanced).

I love teaching and truly believe that deep down inside everyone is an artist, capable of creating something. There is power and knowledge in the act of creating something with your own hands, made from your own heart and head.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at EGorey99@sbcglobal.net

Thanks for stopping by!

5 July Journal Page

I'm trying not to melt here. I would love to have last summer's (cool) weather back.

Above is the finished page that I promised. Lots of tiny journaling on it in every possible direction.

Bags are packed. I'm all prepped for the weekend. I'm really looking forward to it. There's still spaces available in all of the classes. Hope to see YOU there!

One of my students is selling handmade cards to help finance her studies at Julliard. More here:

I'll be blogging from the road. Happy Wednesday!

Really like how you did the two different sections of writing over the one photo, in the 2 colors of ink. Very nice! I'm using that same printed tissue paper in the page I'm working on today!

I would love to take a class from you but alas, I live in Tennessee. Does anyone who teaches at a live venue live in TN? Sometimes I feel like I live at the far end of the galaxy!! Well, I hope your classes go great and you have lots of fun!!

Kelly: I just discovered you had done a podcast with Rice over at Voodoo lounge back in 2009.
I listened and thought it would be quite interesting for those who have not heard it or don't know a lot about you because they are new to your blog. A link would be good.
And of course over at Seth a great spread!

:) thanks, Arika!!!!

I'm always looking for new venues so maybe one of these days I will get to TN. :)

Thanks, Pat! I'm always weird about that sort of thing. I also have done other interviews like that. I'll try to round up links, etc... I'm not very good with interviews and just thinking about them now makes me feel all goobery...
