What You'll Find Here

I post daily (photos of my journal pages, things that inspire me and personal bits and pieces) to inspire and encourage others. I have always believed that if I can do it, so can you.

You'll find resources (my favorite supplies, books, slideshows of my art journal pages, favorite bloggers, etc...) listed along the right hand side of my blog.

I've been teaching both in person and online workshops for more than twenty years. You can find out more about my classes by scrolling down along the right hand side of my blog. I strive to make classes accessible to everyone (both beginner to advanced).

I love teaching and truly believe that deep down inside everyone is an artist, capable of creating something. There is power and knowledge in the act of creating something with your own hands, made from your own heart and head.

Shosh's Book

Here's Shoshanah's Swatches: Little Paper Books book!!! I hope she likes it!!!! ***** Tristan put up the Christmas tree all by himself while I taught at The Art Bar on Sunday. We have a little Charlie Brown tree that grows in our closet every year. So, he dug it out along with the lights and some of the decorations (he left the big box in the closet claiming that "he didn't see it."). I came home and found the tree with the lights on and about 5 ornaments on it. LOL I said, "Tristan, the tree looks GREAT, but, um, where are the rest of the ornaments?" He told me that we didn't have any more ornaments. Ummm...no. We have about a million ornaments. They were all sitting in a big bag next to the tree so Mom (and Tristan) put the rest of the ornaments on last night and our little Charlie Brown tree looks great! My cousin Bev gave me some of my Nana's ornaments this past summer and I'm so happy!! They look great on the tree!!!

Tristan and I trekked out today to do some errands. While I was at Barnes & Noble, I spotted an interesting looking book in the kids' section called My Secret War Diary. I didn't buy it but it does look very good.

I can't believe you mentioned this book!! I OWN it. We had a fund raising book sale at our company and I purchased this new. It is very tactile but alarmingly overwhelming with so much writing. Well, it is a diary after all... I have not read it therefor cannot recommend the contents other than I love the little glued in letters and envelopes!
