The Time Traveler's Wife...I can't wait...

Whenever we are home for Christmas, we usually go to a film. We're nixing The Spirit (from what we saw at Comic Con, it's not for kids nor is it true to Eisner's vision) and most of the crap that is out there. I'm on the fence about a few other films. I was jazzed to find out that the film based on Audrey Niffenegger's book, The Time Traveler's Wife is due out on Christmas. I can't tell you how much I *love* this book. It's one of my absolute favorites. I've read it and re-read it countless numbers of times.I'm eager to see the film but worried that they will screw it up. I KNOW there's a huge difference between book and film, so we won't go there *now*. So, in the meantime, if anyone hears anything about this film, please let me know!! If anyone lives in L.A. and knows how to get test screener passes or cares about MY two cents on the film, let me know.

I'll be here waiting.

Christmas 2008.

OMG I LOVE that book too. I am also worried they will mess up and "Hollywoodize" the movie too much.

This is on my "to read" list. I didn't know there was a movie coming out. I'll have to move the book up so I can go see the movie. I like to read the book first.

The book is one of my favorites, too. . . and it's hard to imagine how they could make a film that preserves the magic. I want to see "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas," "Happy-Go-Lucky," and "Australia" soon.
