10 September 2017 Journal

Lots of things on my To Do List lately.

Sorting through my book and magazine piles again. I'll be bringing books to sell to my Northern California workshops as well as posting them soon on my book blog (which is in need of an update.)

My brain is a bit like a leaky faucet with ideas lately. Trying to make the time to get them all out. I know I'm not alone with this.

I don't like being the bearer of sad news. In case you haven't heard, Cloth Paper Scissors is shutting its doors. I'll confess that it has been a long time since I've read a copy but it still makes me sad. Like Stampington, I used to scoop up every issue and devour the pages. My heart goes out to the workers now out of a job as well as the readers who looked for it on a regular basis. Another part of our mixed media history is brought to an end.

That's so sad about Cloth Paper Scissors. I had years and years of print copies, tried digital, didn't like it, stopped getting it, and re-upped for print again recently. So many great articles, editors, writers, artists.

Well this is annoying as cloth paper scissors is the one mixed media publication I actually subscribe to.
