What To Bring To Workshops

 

If you are taking a workshop with me, please read the supply list. Each class has its own list. It is well known that I do not travel light to my workshops but it will make it easier for everyone and you will have a much more enriched experience if you check out the supply list before the class (especially the link to selecting collage images.) I look forward to seeing you this summer!

PLEASE NOTE that the list below does not apply to all classes and you should check the list for the specific class that you are taking (for example, if you are taking my class, An Artist's Study you will need to bring a book of artwork from your favorite artist to tear up and use in class.) 

BASIC SUPPLY LIST FOR YOU: A journal or paper to work on (not necessary if you are taking a class in which we are making a journal), an apron, scissors, a selection of favorite collage ephemera (think about reading this when choosing your images), bone folder, cork back metal ruler, roll of paper towels OR an old rag, permanent black ink pad (if you have one. My favorite is Staz-On), 1" brush to glue and paint (I like chip or bristle brushes), Small detail flat paint brushes, a few of your favorite glue sticks (large glue sticks will last you longer), roll of waxed paper OR an old catalog or magazine to glue on (if you don't want to use all of your waxed paper for this.) Baby wipes are always nice to have on hand as well.

SUPPLIES THAT I BRING TO CLASSES (you do NOT have to bring these): acrylics, acrylic mediums, rubber stamps, ink pads, stencils, pens, markers, decorative tape of all sorts, all tools and materials to make a book (if it is a bookbinding class), collage materials (though you may not like the materials that I bring so I encourage you to select your own. This post may help guide you in selecting images that are of interest to you. I use a lot of women in my journals but I want your journals to be reflective of YOU and YOUR interest so please bring images and papers that YOU like.)
