A Look Back At: Someday is Now: The Art of Corita Kent June 14, 2015–November 1, 2015

Right before my birthday, David and I went to the Pasadena Museum of California Art to see Someday is Now: The Art of Corita Kent. Corita has been a very big influence on my art and my teaching (Her book, Learning By Heart, is my number one recommended art book.) The exhibit was a visual inspiration of color, pattern, texture, line and ideas. Revisiting the photos makes me want to shut off the computer and dive into my journal.

Above are just some of my favorite pieces from the show. It was hard to limit what I shared so, I've made a slideshow of the entire exhibit that you can see here.

If you are in or near Southern California, you may want to visit the Corita Art Center in Hollywood.

A previous photo heavy post about Corita Kent can be found here.
