What You'll Find Here

I post daily (photos of my journal pages, things that inspire me and personal bits and pieces) to inspire and encourage others. I have always believed that if I can do it, so can you.

You'll find resources (my favorite supplies, books, slideshows of my art journal pages, favorite bloggers, etc...) listed along the right hand side of my blog.

I've been teaching both in person and online workshops for more than twenty years. You can find out more about my classes by scrolling down along the right hand side of my blog. I strive to make classes accessible to everyone (both beginner to advanced).

I love teaching and truly believe that deep down inside everyone is an artist, capable of creating something. There is power and knowledge in the act of creating something with your own hands, made from your own heart and head.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at EGorey99@sbcglobal.net

Thanks for stopping by!

11 September 2014 Journal Page

I have two classes left in Southern California this year. On Saturday, I'll be at Banana Rose in Westlake Village teaching my Pocket Planner (a great class for any time of the year but especially with the New Year coming up) and on Sunday, the
14th at Book Arts L.A. teaching a unusual new class, Moments of Me (I LOVE this journal and am excited to share it with you.) I won't be teaching again locally until mid to late January.

I will be teaching two classes in Massachusetts later this month at Kept Creations and for the Holliston 360 Group. Looking forward to seeing some familiar (as well as new) faces at both locations! Other travelers will have bags loaded with gifts for loved ones. Sure, I'll have that but I'll also have bags full of pens, rubber stamps, stencils, tapes, etc... I don't travel light (even when I have to.)

I'm working on putting the finishing touches on some new classes that I'll be announcing very soon (both online as well as in person.)

Folks have asked about subscribing to this blog (as well as my class blog.) There are buttons along the right hand side that say subscribe where you can enter your email if you'd like. You'll receive my blog posts via email. I update my class blog no more than once or twice a month so those postings aren't as frequent as this blog which I love posting to daily. Think of it like a newsletter!

One last thing, I learned the hard way that if you delete photos from google plus (even if you didn't use google plus to upload them to your blog), make sure that they're NOT ones that were posted to your blog. I have a bunch of weird plus signs on my blog where my photos should be. I'll try to fix them if I can. I wasn't a happy camper about that yesterday! I apologize in advance if you're looking for something and it's not there.
