I've got a busy weekend ahead teaching at Banana Rose in Westlake Village on Saturday and Word is Art in Los Angeles on Sunday.

I'm spending today prepping everything for this weekend so I decided to extend my artists' book sign-up sale through Monday morning at 7 a.m. PST. Those of you who sign up for it before Monday, will receive the special sale price AND a special limited edition signed and numbered print. I'm taking the book to the printers Monday afternoon. I'm so excited!!!!!!

David and I went to a limited engagement screening of Hayao Miyazaki's The Wind Rises yesterday. I LOVED it. It will be in a wider release in 2014 and I encourage folks to check it out. I can't recommend this film enough. I really, really hope it wins the Oscar next year. I love Studio Ghibli and this was a brilliant send off for an outstanding director whose work will be very much missed. If you want to see some of his films right now, seek out two of my personal favorites, My Neighbor Totoro and Kiki's Delivery Service (I recommend the subtitled versions *not* the dubbed ones.)

Have a wonderful weekend, folks.

Never the dubbed version, of anything, is my thinking. Did you like SPIRITED AWAY, apropos of, well, an animated work like KIKI'S DELIVERY SERVICE? Wishing you happy, successful classes this weekend. xo
