What You'll Find Here

I post daily (photos of my journal pages, things that inspire me and personal bits and pieces) to inspire and encourage others. I have always believed that if I can do it, so can you.

You'll find resources (my favorite supplies, books, slideshows of my art journal pages, favorite bloggers, etc...) listed along the right hand side of my blog.

I've been teaching both in person and online workshops for almost twenty years now. You can find out more about my classes by scrolling down along the right hand side of my blog. I strive to make classes accessible to everyone (both beginner to advanced).

I love teaching and truly believe that deep down inside everyone is an artist, capable of creating something. There is power and knowledge in the act of creating something with your own hands, made from your own heart and head.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at EGorey99@sbcglobal.net

2 October 2012 Journal Page

Just a quick reminder that at 7 p.m. PST, I'll be selling journals here on the blog. The post is all ready to go and I've set it up so it should just pop up as a new post.

I hope that you're having a good week so far! I'm looking forward to teaching this weekend. It seems that things have gone from busy to super busy on hyper drive. Not complaining as being busy is very good especially these days! Trying to find daily moments and bits and pieces of time to get everything done that needs to be done and that also includes nourishing me with time spent in my journal. I hope that in this fast paced busy season you can also find the time to slow down and reflect upon what sustains you (my sustenance is: my family, my art, books, film and long walks!) Some food for thought this morning. I hope to see you back here at 7 p.m. PST tonight!

Thanks, Anne, for the kind words. I frequent my local used bookstores and check the flowers/gardening section constantly. I don't find stuff all of the time but once in a blue moon I score big time! Also you can check online with amazon and abebooks for various flower books and see if you can find anything that way. Maybe the local library has some that you could color copy? At the beginning of the year, check the bookstores for calendars, too!
