Pouring and Prepping Paint for Next Weekend

I'll be honest, while I LOVE my job, I HATE pouring paint. Especially when it's warm. I spent the morning pouring acrylic paint into squeeze bottles (wide mouth bottles work best! I get mine from Nova Color.) I have a whole post here on acrylic paints, mediums and lots of tips and tricks for using acrylics in your work.

We won't just be using acrylic paint in my Compendium of Visual Delights class but gouache and watercolor as well (anddd a few other things...) Luckily, the only prep work involved in that department is buying it! I finished the journal last night and I am bouncing off the walls waiting to teach it.

This will be my ONLY paint/collage class for awhile. I've said it before and I'll say it again,  I do not have ANY plans to teach painting with collage in any other class at the moment. I am NOT teaching it online either. Just a heads up if you're on the fence about taking it!

Thanks, Tammy! I'll be at Scrap2It in Fort Collins the second weekend in August. I'm not teaching Journal This on this trip but I will keep it in mind for future classes there! Thanks! :)

I don't mind pouring a few bottles but when it gets to be 80+ degrees in your home that traps heat in and you're in a room with no a/c or fan and you're pouring 30+ bottles of paint, it ain't fun. ;)
