My New Journal

I started a new journal over the weekend. I gutted a hardcover book, wrapped some heavy handmade paper over the spine (to reinforce it) and sewed new pages in. I love the front cover but I want to add to it. I used the new graffiti tapes (found here and here) on the back cover. Then I went over the graffiti tapes with my transparent O-check typewriter tape. I've done a few pages in it so far which I will share with you very soon!

I'm heading back to work on my latest class, Journey Within. I am VERY excited about it.

I love the cover of your new journal! Orange is definitely my color. Great binding stitch, too! Just signed up for Journey Within and can't wait to start!

Love the tapes, and tried to order some. But $20 shipping for two sets of tapes was just a little steep for my budget! Hoping they find a way for order/delivery within the states, as the tapes are quite lovely.

Sharon, Karen (Washimatta) only charges what the actual shipping price is. She refunds any excess. You can always email her and ask what shipping would be. When I order tape, I tend to stock up (last time I ordered $100 worth). I do pay for EMS shipping as I've had problems with my mail. I prefer to order from Japan as you do get more tape on a roll when you order from Japan vs some of the U.S. companies. Washimatta and Ginko Papers are my two favorite vendors and Ginko Papers is in the U.S. and she orders from Japan. :)
