One of my favorite things to do with my focal images is to color them in with either Sakura Glaze or Souffle pens or Pilot's Latte or Sweets pens. I don't rub them in while their wet (I know some folks who do). I color in section by section. Make sure that you don't schmear the ink as you work as it does take a few minutes to dry. You can also layer colors (once the previous color has dried). Coloring in is a nice way to alter an image and make it work with whatever else is on the page. Remember that the Sakura Glazes are a gloss finish. They also can be lighter in color depending upon what your original base color is on the page. Sakura Souffle, Pilot Latte and Sweets are all a matte finish so they will show up on anything including dark colors. My analogy is if you want to use a red pen on a pink page and be able to see it, use the souffle, latte or sweets. If you want it more subdued, use a Glaze pen. I'll show you the finished page soon! Don't forget I have two new classes this weekend (Zinnia in South Pasadena and Simi Valley) as well as Frenzy Stamper in Scottsdale, AZ coming up next weekend. I hope to see YOU there! |
