September 2011 Classes

Happy Saturday, everyone!

I've posted my class schedule for September-December here. I am hoping to add to it (and am looking for new venues to add to my current list of teaching locations.) When I do add, I'll be sure to let you know!

I am currently looking for a location in No CA for THIS Fall/Winter (yes, I'll still be happily teaching in Fremont but the space is unavailable until early 2012 and y'all know I can't go more than a few months without trekking up to one of my most favorite areas in the country!) If you know of any places that may be interested (or if you even have space yourself, please contact me.

I will have my class information for Frenzy Stamper in Scottsdale posted within the next couple of weeks. Samples will be there shortly.

Here is a detailed list of my class information for September (to see Sept-Dec, please click here.)

The samples are in the store (Zinnia has the samples for September and October. I will be dropping off the samples to Stampin' From the Heart within the next week.)

As always, thank YOU for your interest in my classes. I wouldn't be able to do what I love without your interest and support. THANK YOU.

Expressions

What story will your book hold? Express yourself by creating a hand bound journal covered in luscious handmade paper. Create pages that fold out and hide your secrets or uniquely display your treasures. You will learn how to free your artistic self upon the pages of this book, creating a multitude of rich, colorful pages as you work. You will be learning not only how to make the book from scratch but also how to create a multitude of layered, “paper painted” pages.

Supply list: Scissors, small selection of favorite collage ephemera, bone folder, cork back metal ruler, roll of waxed paper, roll of paper towels, permanent black inkpad, container to hold water, 1" brushes to glue (I like chip or bristle brushes), a few of your favorite glue sticks

La Petite Muse

With your own hands and in your own style, construct a small, personal journal completely from scratch. You’ll start by choosing your own handmade and decorative paper to use as the cover and as the inside pages! Create your own unique book sewn by your own hands. After constructing the book, you will then learn a multitude of new collage techniques for working on the pages. This was one of my favorite journals to work in and I hope it will become one of yours!

Content: The Artist’s Life

Create a uniquely stitched tape covered, content filled journal using my favorite cardstock, paper ephemera, a plethora of deco tape, needle and thread. I quickly fell in love with this journal and carried it with me everywhere last summer as it is small enough for every day, on the go use. I loved how I could slip it in a Ziploc bag with a glue stick, some collage ephemera and a handful of pens. I worked on it every day, everywhere. You will learn how to blend and layer colorful ephemera and that leaving a little white space is good! This journal is definitely one of my most favorite books that I have ever worked in. I loved learning how to work with the open spaces on the pages, using pens, stencils, stickers and more. I can’t wait to share what I’ve learned with you! I guarantee you will love this journal as much as I did!
