Decor8 at Anthropologie in Los Angeles

Since I've been home, there's been no rest for the weary. I am thinking of taking next week off and having a week of wordless photos. Don't get me wrong, I love blogging. It's just that I've been go-go-going so much that I need a week of family and some serious me time. My journal is feeling neglected since I haven't worked in at as much as I usually do (still journaling but not as much and it's making me crazy.) I also have a ridiculous pile of books stacked next to the bed that are quietly whispering to me.

David, Tristan and I headed over to Anthropologie at the Grove to meet Holly Becker of Decor8 fame!

Leslie from A Creative Mint also there. I was lucky enough to meet two of my favorite bloggers! They were both very sweet and kind enough to talk to me even though the event was wrapping up.

Holly was very gracious and signed a copy of her book, Decorate, for me. It's a truly beautiful book. As an artist, I often look for ideas in all forms and from various sources. I love design blogs, books and magazines. Decor8 never fails to inspire me! Holly's book is brimming with color, composition and pure eye candy! I love her mood boards (sadly I didn't find out about the mood board presentation until it was already full.) If you are an artist (of any medium), check out the book, it's total inspiration!

So cool that you got to meet them both. I'll have to look up her book. I totally understand having to have "me" time. I feel the same way sometimes. I know you have to as busy as you stay. It's got to be hard loving what you do and missing your family too. I hope you get some time to your self.
