What You'll Find Here

I post daily (photos of my journal pages, things that inspire me and personal bits and pieces) to inspire and encourage others. I have always believed that if I can do it, so can you.

You'll find resources (my favorite supplies, books, slideshows of my art journal pages, favorite bloggers, etc...) listed along the right hand side of my blog.

I've been teaching both in person and online workshops for almost twenty years now. You can find out more about my classes by scrolling down along the right hand side of my blog. I strive to make classes accessible to everyone (both beginner to advanced).

I love teaching and truly believe that deep down inside everyone is an artist, capable of creating something. There is power and knowledge in the act of creating something with your own hands, made from your own heart and head.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at EGorey99@sbcglobal.net

1 June 2011 Journal Page

Surreal that June 1st is already here! The page above is an ode to summer with layers of background papers, Sakura glaze and souffle pens, stickers, rapidograph .35 pen, and new tape from Ginko papers:

See the two rolls on the left? They also have cool, new, sturdy, pretty fabric tape . I love the new paper tape. I haven't seen it anywhere else! It's somewhat transparent. The designs are really fun, too. I love the label one and the little garden one, too. Yes! It sticks! ;)

LOL, we both got the label tape (!!!) and the garden tape ... I love how wide it is! Journaling, here I come! The fabric tape is very cool and textural too.

Love the page and the fresh colors! One of these days I'll buy a paper tape, I still have not tried any!

I love the page and the colors. You've made me start keeping different things from magazines instead of just focals. I love those little heart stickers at the bottom too. Where did you find those? I love anything hearts. I'm off to order more tape. :) I don't think anyone can have too much paper and tape, it just makes me happy.

Thanks again for the lead.
BTW Shayna from last class emailed me to tell me she found Kinokuniya! Another pen & tape addict born. LOL
