Would you believe I actually bought two journals (this one and this one). I have been waiting for eons for one and she finally had them (they are wait listed again) and I am so happy! They are FABULOUS!

Classes this Saturday at the Urban Craft Center in Santa Monica and at the Art Bar in Santa Ana (it cracks me up that I always seem to book the Santa's in the same weekend). More info here.

The inspector came yesterday (along with the building manager). He was in each unit for maybe 7 to 8 minutes. He had a clipboard and a suitcase. He took some notes and that was pretty much it. We're going to be getting new windows, new heating unit, a new air conditioner and new electrical outlets. Supposedly the windows will all be done in a day. They will work while we still live here. Should be fun (not). I'm just happy that it wasn't the building management company that came in (the last time they did an inspection they trekked through our apartment with cameras and several people and they made snide remarks and took pictures of our personal belongings-but stopped when I saw them and screamed at them). We'll see what happens. I just hope that when they do come in to do the renovations that they don't make a mess or break things like they did last time.

I love your links you share each day. I never fail to find some goodies I'd otherwise not see.

As for having people coming into my house...can't stand it. UGH! I hope the renovations go well.

Peace & Love,
~Barb~

I love your page and remember when you posted that story.

I can easily spend 30 mins. or more just browsing on the links I follow to look at from your blog. They're great.

I'm glad the inspection went well. How rude of the people to walk through peopl's homes and make snide comments. I'm glad you're going to be getting some upgrades and I hope they will uphold thier end of what they said. And I hope it won't take long. How stressful. I don't even like it when repairmen have to come over.

I'm glad the inspection is over!

I bet they can do the windows in a day. I'm always amazed at how quickly windows can be replaced -- it seems like such a big deal to me! But the mess is another matter. The messiest person to work in our home was not the tiler, ceiling resurfacer, painter, or anybody like that...it was the electrician! I think his name was Pig Pen. So, you never know.

Good luck to you!

Well, on the bright side you'll have bright and shiny new windows to let in the light, heating to keep you warm in the winter, and a/c for the hot summer days.....hope the installers are clean, quick and friendly!!! Beth
