Remembering MLK

I've made several journal pages as tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr over the years...these are still two of my favorites.

His Beyond Vietnam speech given on April 4, 1967 has always been one of my favorite speeches of his. I've quoted it off in my journal pages.

I can't let today pass without paying tribute to MLK's legacy. His words still ring very true today...He stressed non violence. Will we ever learn?

I just stumbled on to your blog. nice work. putting it on to my favorites list as you may just give me the push i need to get creative again. your prompt a day looks interesting.
That top one I was just looking at last night in 1000 Artist Journal Pages!!!! I was so moved by it. It really made me take a moment to reflect on the man and what he would of accomplished had his life not been cut short.

Thanks for that moment of reflection-last night and again today!!!

Kelly - I too posted a rememberance of MLK, Jr. on my blog - I was lucky enough to have lived in D.C. and Atlanta during his all too brief days of preaching words we could all learn from today - hugs - Reva (Los Angeles)
