What You'll Find Here

I post daily (photos of my journal pages, things that inspire me and personal bits and pieces) to inspire and encourage others. I have always believed that if I can do it, so can you.

You'll find resources (my favorite supplies, books, slideshows of my art journal pages, favorite bloggers, etc...) listed along the right hand side of my blog.

I've been teaching both in person and online workshops for almost twenty years now. You can find out more about my classes by scrolling down along the right hand side of my blog. I strive to make classes accessible to everyone (both beginner to advanced).

I love teaching and truly believe that deep down inside everyone is an artist, capable of creating something. There is power and knowledge in the act of creating something with your own hands, made from your own heart and head.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at EGorey99@sbcglobal.net

Thanks for stopping by!

journal page from 4/11/09 and a glimpse into my art area

Here's a glimpse into my corner of the living room...Yup, that's where I sit and play!
See the black and white bag under my journal to the left? That's my art bag. All of my collage crap is in it. I don't work from a box or anything else. I work from THAT bag. I pull out what I want to work with and piece it all together. My new Maya Made buckets are in the right corner. I have one filled with scissors, ruler, glue, etc...

Um, do you think I have enough tape-two big pants hangers full, a wire mesh container full...

*****
Speaking of fun stuff, my friends at Hannah Grey are having a GREAT sale in their clearance section. Hannah Grey stocks the best stuff. HG is one of my favorite online shops. They've got some good deals going on now. Check 'em out here...Stewart Gill stamps, H2Os and MORE.

(No affiliation...just a happy customer!)

Love the art meditation station. :) BTW - there's this cool pens made by Pilot... parallel pens. It's a calligraphy pen that you can mix ink with. Pretty cool. Hope to join next month again. Cheers.

Great page. Love all your tape. I've been organizing my laundry room all day today and getting ready to redo my "craft" area. I'm going through things to donate for Shelby's youth yard sale in May. Why did I want to start this project? Am I insane? I'm so tired now. I want to journal, I will catch up and have some fun soon..... I love living thorough your blog.

The pants hanger would be great for ribbon, too!

Thanks for sharing your art space! I have a corner of my bedroom that's filled with all my "stuff". An after Xmas present to myself was a desk of my own - well, if my 6 year old will let me have more than a few inches of the space when she joins me. 8-)

It's nice to see that other people create in real spaces, not just those luxurious studios you see in the magazines.

Thanks for letting us peek at your art area! I actually imagined you having more tape. :) Seriously.

Um, I do. I don't have hangers for it... lol
I have a bag at my feet full of tape. I will try to bring that one in May to show you. It has all of my masking tape. I also have a big black metal bin that is filled with tape-filled, overflowing. It's insane, really. I also put a crap load of new tape from my collection into the class bag.
