What You'll Find Here

I post daily (photos of my journal pages, things that inspire me and personal bits and pieces) to inspire and encourage others. I have always believed that if I can do it, so can you.

You'll find resources (my favorite supplies, books, slideshows of my art journal pages, favorite bloggers, etc...) listed along the right hand side of my blog.

I've been teaching both in person and online workshops for almost twenty years now. You can find out more about my classes by scrolling down along the right hand side of my blog. I strive to make classes accessible to everyone (both beginner to advanced).

I love teaching and truly believe that deep down inside everyone is an artist, capable of creating something. There is power and knowledge in the act of creating something with your own hands, made from your own heart and head.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at EGorey99@sbcglobal.net

Thanks for stopping by!

April 6, 2009 journal page

Damn it. I'm so sad right now. I received several emails this morning from my friends in Arizona telling me that my favorite paper store on Earth is closing their retail store, moving their location and will be focusing on classes. Now the latter part isn't the sad thing, it's the closing of their retail store. They were THE paper store to go to-THE. There isn't another store on the planet like them.

I always had a few reasons to go to Arizona-

Friends

One of the BEST damn stamp stores, Frenzy Stamper

one of the Best damn paper stores, The Paper Studio

one of the Best damn scrapbook stores, Scrapbooks, Etc

one of the Best damn art retreats, Art Unraveled

I always had a PLAN. Pretty much every trip I would visit the above stores regardless of where I was going or what I was doing. THEY were a part of my trip.

Damn, and I had woke up feeling pretty good 'til I checked email. Boo hoo!!!!

Everything else in Arizona had better stay the same ;) (well, except you can tone down the heat...LOL!)

*****
Ending on somewhat of a positive note, I am very curious about this book that is due out today!

I love your journal page.

And oh by the way, thanks for scaring cancer. I think when you told it to fuck off in that really captial voice tone, it hid behind a bush.

So thank you dear friend.

Love Renee xoxo

NO. Why are all these great stores closing? I don't get it. I just started journaling and the stores start closing. Do they want us to all get depressed or something? We have enough to worry about. LOL

I love the image and your page. She looks so real.

Thanks for the book link, now I want that book, it looks very good.

noooooooo!! I haven't even had a chance to build UP a decent paper stash, yet... I agree too, the other things better stay the same- the friends part will, at least! ;D
