NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

I wish I could say it wasn't so...I am NOT Happy...quite pissed in fact. Sharpie Water based poster paint pens have been discontinued. They obviously did not ask US, those who LOVE the pens.

Here's the email I received today:

"Thank you for reaching out to us and for your support of Sanford products. Unfortunately, our Sharpie® Poster Paint Markers are no longer available and there is no exact replacement at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. However, you may want to try getting older stock from www.kingpen.com (800)-970-7367, www.markers4u.com (866)-900-6275 or Ellsworth (800)-765-4031.

We are continuously evaluating new and old products to fulfill your needs, so our marketing and product development teams appreciate your input. Additionally, your inquiry has been sent to our consumer insights team for further investigation. We are always looking for ways to better serve you and your comments are an integral part of this process.

Sanford makes a wide variety of high quality writing instruments, office organization and art products. We invite you to browse all the brands Sanford manufactures at www.sanford.com to discover another great product from a trusted brand that will satisfy your needs.

If we can be of further assistance to you, please do not hesitate to contact us again."

Grrr...off to piss and moan about it.

Other poster paint pens I use are elmer's poster paint pens. My favorite pens are the Sakura gelly roll GLAZE-here and here and SOUFFLE pens. I also adore the SWEETS and LATTES from jet pens.

Oh hell no! I am going to end up spending every dollar in the bank account so I can stock up on them! Grrrr! I think we should all write to them and complain! Sheesh, I love those pens. *sigh*

This sucs. Why do they always take things that are good and discontinue them? I hate that. Couldn't they have done a survey or something?

its a sad day! they really are my favorite pen!
it's part of that whole new child safety law. some well known company's are pulling popular art supply brands from shelves because it's cheaper than spending lab money to test the product for safety. realy bites for us artist. I feel your pain.

I guess we know where some of my tax refund is going. Forget painting the house! Forget Art Unraveled... where do I find the brown paint pen again? I'm on the hunt now!
Ugh, I was having such a good day!
