What You'll Find Here

I post daily (photos of my journal pages, things that inspire me and personal bits and pieces) to inspire and encourage others. I have always believed that if I can do it, so can you.

You'll find resources (my favorite supplies, books, slideshows of my art journal pages, favorite bloggers, etc...) listed along the right hand side of my blog.

I've been teaching both in person and online workshops for almost twenty years now. You can find out more about my classes by scrolling down along the right hand side of my blog. I strive to make classes accessible to everyone (both beginner to advanced).

I love teaching and truly believe that deep down inside everyone is an artist, capable of creating something. There is power and knowledge in the act of creating something with your own hands, made from your own heart and head.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at EGorey99@sbcglobal.net

Thanks for stopping by!

February 17, 2009 journal pages

The second and third pages of my new journal:New book alert-
Yesterday we went on our weekly trek to Meltdown Comics on Sunset Blvd in Hollywood. I spotted a new book, The Garden of Eye Candy. It sure is! My jaw dropped when I saw it. "Oh shit..." I thought. I devoured it last night. The book is PERFECT in every sense of the word. It's the right size. The images are BIG and in your face and just so frickin' amazing. It's the kind of book that makes your heart go pitter patter when you see it, flip through it and that you must, under any circumstances, make it yours...It was my splurge.

FYI, Frenzy Stamper in Scottsdale has the NEW Stampers Anonymous images in stock. Well, last I heard they were in stock..since they are super uber cool they might have flown out the door by now. I ordered 3 sets of the um stamps. Thanks again, Debbie!!!! I needed new stamps for my classes and these are perfect.

Don't forget, there is still room in my A Prompt A Day online class for March (and February). More here.-thanks.

LOVE the page showing a letter being written to the Sharpie folks! You should post their address so people know who to write a letter to about the poster paint pens being discontinued!!!!

I stopped at Frenzy Stamper while I was in town. I went on the day they had the festival so I had to park far away.
I didn't mind lugging my purchases back.
It was good exercise!
The store got much bigger from the last time I was there.
Plus it was fun to see Miss D opening her b-day gifts and laughing.

I bought 2 caran d'ache crayons from her store.
Will you be placing an order soon so I can order the whole kit and kaboodle
or should I go ahead and order on-line myself?
Thanks.

Thanks for the heads up on the book Kelly.

I love these pages. A good reminder that we are all not free until our brothers and sisters around the world are free.
