A little photo postcard for a friend...

Here's an altered photo I'm sending to a friend...here's the before:
and here's the after:
I hope she likes it...
Tristan's out early every day this week (well, after tomorrow, he's off for the rest of the week. Yay!) So, we decided to go to some of our favorite used bookstores in Glendale and North Hollywood. Didn't buy anything in Glendale, but at the Iliad in North Hollywood, I picked up:
some to cut up, some to keep...

I was up til 1 last night reading The Memory Keeper's Daughter. You know the kind of book that once you start reading it, it's hard to put down? Well, this was one of those! I've got a pile of books next to the bed (what else is new?!?! LOL) and need to figure out which one is next.

Hey, check out my friend, Marissa's new etsy shop! She has a gorgeous site in addition to the shop.

Ack-it's *the* day to go food shopping. Shopping is never one of my favorite activities (seriously) and I hate grocery shopping and any other kind (well, maybe not books and paper) that involves mall, chain store and places with LOTS of people and Thanksgiving is just a couple of days away. I'll be the one pushing the cart and humming to herself trying to keep a smile on my face. :)

Maria Rose,

I'll tip my hat to you as I walk by!
Good luck out there to anyone who is going to the market today or tomorrow!! Stay patient :) and remember, it is the time to be grateful (all of the time ;)) and it's the holidays, so put a smile on yer face!

And don't forget the person in red standing by the front door as you go into stores this time of year. ;)

How nice to make an altered postcard for someone!
I love it that you are so into books. When I can buy some again, I'll bug you for the names of those stores.
I don't mind shopping for groceries, but it has to be as soon as it opens. Here, that's 5am. If it's much later than 7am, then I just don't go. Or, if I'm going to Trader Joe's it has to be 8 am, because ours opens that early. Many people have gotten miffed at me because I wouldn't go to the grocery in the middle of the day. Hey. Life is too short.

Now, off to Marissa.

Kelly,
I just wanted to thank you for a couple good book recommendations. I recently bought the book I Live Here and it is fabulous. So interesting visually. Also yesterday I got the new James Jean book Fables and I can't put it down. Fabulous.
Thanks again,
Susan
